This workshop is suitable for anyone who may find themselves supporting a friend, family member, colleague, or even a stranger experiencing distress or crisis. No prior counselling experience is required.

A: Participants will learn to ‘Recognise, Respond and Refer’ appropriately in crisis situations, develop effective communication skills, ask directly about thoughts of suicide, respond safely, and understand the importance of self-care.

No pre-existing skills or knowledge are required. The training is open to all community members who want to support others in distress.
