Gatekeeper/ Wellbeing Advocate Workshop

SUICIDE PREVENTION

1 day workshop. Face-to-Face. Aged 16+.

Gatekeepers are trusted individuals in key community or organizational roles who, through their routine, interact with others. They are well-positioned to notice when someone may be under pressure and at potential risk of suicide and need help.

This workshop equips people in gatekeeper roles with knowledge, skills and confidence to be alert, willing and able to support people in distress and help them link up to the services they need.

Examples include pharmacists, bar staff, hairdressers, sports coaches, shopkeepers… people deeply connected to community.
