MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID
We have accredited skilled trainers to deliver the following MHFA courses by Mental Health First Aid Australia. Participants will receive the appropriate MHFA Manual and complete an online Accreditation Assessment to become an accredited Mental Health First Aider, valid for 3 years.
Standard MHFA

The Standard Mental Health First Aid course teaches participants how to provide initial support to adults who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, until professional help is received or the crisis resolves. Comprehensive, easy to understand content for all adults.
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander MHFA

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health First Aid
course teaches participants how to provide initial support to an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, until professional support is received, or the crisis resolves. Additional cultural context to our SMHFA.
Older Person MHFA

The Older Person Mental Health First Aid course teaches participants who work with, care for or support adults aged 65+ how to provide initial support to someone who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, until professional help is received or the crisis resolves. Explores important strategies to support the older person.
Youth MHFA

The Youth Mental Health First Aid course teaches participants how to provide initial support to a young person (aged 12–18) who may be experiencing a mental health crisis, until professional help is received, or the crisis resolves. Young people have unique challenges that need appropriate support and care. Ideal for parent, teachers and anyone working with youth.
MHFA Conversations about Gambling

The Conversations About Gambling course teaches participants how to provide initial support to someone who may be experiencing gambling harm or a gambling-related mental health crisis, until professional help is received or the crisis resolves. Ideal for community members, hospitality staff and community frontline workers.
MHFA Conversations about Non-Suicidal Self-Injury

The Conversations About Non-Suicidal Self-Injury course teaches participants how to provide initial support to someone who may be engaging in non-suicidal self-injury (self-harm), until professional help is received, or the crisis resolves.
Essential for the youth and community sector to learn important skills to appropriately respond and support.
MHFA Conversations about Suicide

The Conversations about Suicide course teaches participants how to provide initial support to someone who may be experiencing suicidal thoughts and behaviours, until professional help is received or the crisis resolves. Introductory workshop for this topic. Appropriate for all community members and frontline workers to keep those around them safe.
